Job Description

About Capital Placement:

Over 13 years ago, we launched Capital Placement with a bold mission: to open the world to students and graduates who dream of building global careers through internships. Today, we partner with over 4,000 employers across London, Singapore, New York, and beyond, connecting ambitious early-career talent with companies that value great talent, fresh perspectives and global diversity. We're a scrappy team of misfits that like to do the unconventional.

The Problem You'll Solve:

Capital Placement has a dual-sided marketplace, we have employers on one side and early careers talent on the other, our job is to match the two. Our sales team, working with employers, currently owns the full cycle from lead generation to close, leaning heavily on cold outbound email. We're good at it, but we're getting close to hitting the ceiling of what outbound alone can do.

Deliverability is harder, inboxes are crowded, and great prospects are tuning out. We need to build an inbound engine. That means creating the systems, content infrastructure, and automated workflows that bring warm, intent-rich employers ready to hire interns, as leads to our team consistently. Does this seem like a challenge you would like to take on If so, keep reading.

What You'll Do:
  • Design and execute an inbound engine that complements our existing outbound

  • Build and own the marketing automation and lead scoring infrastructure to route and prioritise inbound leads for the sales team.

  • Create signal-detection workflows that identify high-intent behaviour (page visits, content downloads, email engagement) and trigger timely, personalised follow-up.

  • Develop and test multi-channel inbound campaigns, including LinkedIn, organic, paid, and email nurture, partnerships, measuring CAC, MQL quality, and pipeline contribution.

  • Integrate AI-powered tools to personalise outreach at scale, improve response rates, and reduce manual effort for the sales team.

  • Establish reporting dashboards that track the full inbound funnel from first touch to closed-won, and use data to iterate quickly.

  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to ensure seamless handoffs, tight feedback loops, and a shared definition of a quality lead.

  • Evaluate, select, and manage tools from intent data platforms to enrichment tools and own the stack budget accordingly.

What We're Looking For:
  • Deep knowledge of inbound and automation methodologies: email nurture, conversion rate optimisation, and lead scoring.

  • You must have experience with AI-assisted tools (Clay, Apollo, Instantly, or equivalents) and automation platforms (Zapier, Make, n8n, etc.).

  • 2+ years of experience in GTM, growth, demand generation, or similar marketing/sales engineering role, with a proven record of building inbound pipelines from scratch and scaling them.

  • Comfortable working with data: you can pull reports, run experiments, and make decisions backed by evidence rather than instinct alone.

  • Self-starter with a bias for action, you don't wait for perfect briefs; you diagnose, propose, and ship.

Bonus Points:
  • Previous experience in a startup or scale-up where you had to build things before buying them.

  • Track record with LinkedIn as an inbound and demand gen channel.

What Success Looks Like:
  • Month 1: Audit the current stack and outbound motion. Deliver a prioritised inbound strategy and 90-day roadmap. First inbound campaigns are live, CRM/automation workflows in place, and early signal on MQL quality and volume.

  • Month 2: Measurable contribution of inbound to pipeline. The sales team is already spending less time on cold prospecting employers and more time on warm conversations with them.

  • Month 3: You hit your first performance-based bonus.
Month 6: Inbound engine is a dependable, growing channel, with clear attribution, a library of proven plays, and systems that scale.

Why This Role:

You'll be the first dedicated inbound hire at Capital Placement, which means real ownership, real influence, and real impact. You'll work directly with leadership, have a sizable budget to test and build, and help shape what our growth function looks like for the next decade with the team you build around you. If you want a role where your name is on the results, this is it.

Perks:
  • Competitive salary + Performance-related bonus + annual profit share

  • A MacBook to help you work effectively

  • Private health insurance

  • 28 days holiday time per annum and quarterly wellness days to rest and recharge

  • Uber Eats/ food delivery budget

  • Learning and development budget to keep growing and levelling up

  • Opportunities to travel abroad

  • Annual company getaways, so far we have done Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam in the past few years- maybe you can help us pick the 27 location

  • Significant potential to grow in the role, build a team and take on more responsibility

  • Work-from-home budget to set up your remote workstation

  • Work with amazing colleagues across 4 continents and 8 countries

Working Hours: You'll be working UK hours from Monday to Thursday - we like to stay in sync with our global teams and customers. On Fridays, you'll switch to your local time zone (9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.) so you can wrap up the week at a good pace and still have your evening free.
