Role Summary
The Marketing Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the company's marketing efforts, including paid advertising campaigns and organic marketing strategies. This role requires a dynamic individual who can balance the strategic and tactical aspects of marketing to drive brand awareness, engagement, and conversion. The Marketing Manager will lead the marketing team, coordinate with other departments, and ensure the effectiveness of all marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies encompassing both paid and unpaid channels to promote the company's products and services.
Conduct market research to identify opportunities and trends.
Analyze competitor strategies to inform marketing plans.
Leverage advanced targeting techniques to reach a niche audience of high-net-worth individuals, adventure enthusiasts, and luxury travelers interested in self-drive expeditions.
2. Campaign Management:
Plan, execute, and manage paid marketing campaigns (e.g. social media ads, display ads) to drive traffic and sales.
Oversee unpaid marketing efforts including SEO, content marketing, social media.
Monitor and analyze campaign performance using tools like Google Analytics, Meta
Business Suite, and LinkedIn Campaign Manager, optimizing for KPIs such as cost-per lead (CPL), conversion rates, and ROI.
3. Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor the marketing team, providing clear direction and support.
Delegate tasks and projects effectively and ensure timely delivery.
Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
4. Content Development:
Oversee the creation of high-quality marketing materials for both paid and unpaid channels.
Ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all marketing platforms.
Collaborate with content creators, designers, and external agencies.
5. Analytics and Reporting:
Analyse data from paid and unpaid campaigns to measure effectiveness and inform strategy.
Utilize data-driven insights to make informed marketing decisions.
Provide detailed performance reports to stakeholders, offering actionable insights and recommendations to enhance future campaigns.
6. Brand Management:
Maintain and enhance the company's brand image across all marketing channels.
Ensure all marketing efforts align with the company's brand guidelines and objectives.
Develop and enforce brand guidelines.
Stay updated on luxury travel trends, competitor strategies, and digital marketing innovations to keep Adventures Overland ahead of the curve.
7. Innovation and Trend Monitoring:
Stay up-to-date with the latest marketing trends, tools, and technologies.
Experiment with new marketing tactics and channels to stay ahead of the competition.
Share insights and best practices with the marketing team.
Education and Experience
Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in marketing, experience with both paid and unpaid marketing strategies is essential.
Skills
Strong leadership and team management skills.

Proficiency in tools like Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta Business Suite,
LinkedIn Campaign Manager, and marketing automation platforms.

Familiarity with A/B testing, audience segmentation, and landing page optimization.

Experience with AI-powered marketing platforms for content, automation, insights, and optimization, along with a strong understanding of new AI updates and trends.
