ABOUT GUTBASKET

GutBasket is India's first probiotic fermentation brand — live cultures, traditional recipes, modern formulations, all lab-tested for safety. We sit where Indian food wisdom meets modern wellness science: earthy and credible, rigorous without the hype. We have a lot of story left to tell.

We're looking for a writer to help us tell it — clearly, warmly, and in a way that actually makes people understand (and want) what we do.

THE ROLE

This is a copy-first marketing role. You'll take what GutBasket does — fermentation, gut health, our products — and translate it into copy that works across formats and channels. One day it's a newsletter, the next it's an Instagram carousel or a script for a Meta ad. You don't need to be a fermentation expert; you need to be genuinely good at writing, curious enough to understand the subject, and quick to pick up our voice.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

1. Write newsletters and email copy — campaigns, product launches, and the ongoing story we tell our subscribers.

2. Craft Instagram and social copy — captions, carousels, and post copy that's on-brand and scroll-stopping.

3. Write ad copy and scripts — for both organic posts and paid ads across Meta and other channels, including short video/reel scripts.

• Translate the complex into the clear — take fermentation and gut-health ideas and make them simple, credible, and compelling.

• Hold the brand voice — keep copy consistent with GutBasket's tone: premium, rigorous, never hype-y, never sterile.

• Collaborate — work closely with the founders and design to turn ideas and campaigns into finished copy.

WHO YOU ARE

• A genuinely strong writer — you can show a portfolio or samples of copy, captions, emails, or scripts you've written.

• 1–2 years in copywriting, content, social media, or marketing (we care more about the writing than the résumé).

• Able to make sense of a product or idea quickly and explain it simply to a reader.

• Adaptable — you can shift between a newsletter, a punchy ad line, and a reel script without losing the brand's voice.

• Organised and dependable with deadlines across multiple channels.

NICE TO HAVE (NOT REQUIRED)

• A real interest in fermentation, nutrition, or gut health — you'll do this job better and enjoy it more.

• Experience writing for D2C / e-commerce brands.

• Experience writing Meta ad copy or short-form video / reel scripts.
