Marketing & Proposal Engineer (Pneumatic Conveying & Dust Collection)

Salary (Gross CTC): 480,000 660,000 Per Annum

Role Overview

We are seeking a Sales, Marketing & Proposal Engineer with a minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience, preferably in pneumatic conveying, dust extraction, or process handling systems. This is a customerfacing, salesdriven technical role requiring strong engineering understanding, excellent communication, and the ability to convert enquiries into orders within defined timelines.

Key Responsibilities-

A. Sales & Customer Interaction

  • Engage confidently with customers without hesitation. This role requires someone who enjoys interaction and does not shy away from risks or challenges.
  • Conduct presales and postsales meetings, presentations, and site visits across India.
  • Conduct virtual meetings when physical meetings are unfeasible.
  • Travel anywhere, anytime as required for sales presentations, technical discussions, and customer visits.
  • Understand customer requirements, plant layouts, and process challenges to propose feasible solutions quickly.
  • Follow up on proposals and ensure timely closure of deals.

B. Proposal Engineering & Documentation

  • Prepare technocommercial offers, BOQs, costing sheets, and system design concepts.
  • Interpret and work with CAD drawings, P&IDs, and plant layouts.
  • Coordinate with internal design, production, and project teams for accurate proposal preparation.
  • Maintain professional email communication and documentation, especially critical for PSU projects.
  • Search, study, and apply for tenders; participate in digital auctions on platforms like Ariba and others.

C. Marketing & CRM

  • Support marketing activities, exhibitions, presentations, and customer engagement initiatives.
  • Maintain enquiry pipelines, followups, and customer data using CRM tools.
  • Review Digital Ads, Magazine Ads, Industrial Dictionaries, and Platforms like IndiaMart.
  • Represent the company at trade expos as and when required, either as a participant or a visitor.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant industry experience in pneumatic conveying, dust extraction, or related engineering fields.
  • Degree in Mechanical, Production, or related engineering disciplines.
  • Strong understanding of industrial equipment, plant layouts, and process flow.
  • Ability to read and interpret AutoCAD drawings.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, Marathi, and Hindi; additional languages are a plus.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and customerhandling skills.
  • Professional email writing, documentation, and tenderhandling skills.
  • Familiarity with MS Office, AutoCAD, Zoho CRM, Microsoft Project, and digital tendering platforms (preferred).
  • Streetsmart, wellmannered, and professional in interactions with clients and internal teams.

Industry Preference

  • Candidates with direct experience in pneumatic conveying, dust extraction, or bulk material handling will be given the highest priority.
  • Candidates from ethanol, alcohol, food, or other manufacturing sectors may also be considered (treated as freshers for this role).

Work Environment & Expectations

  • This is a fulltime, officeonly role, with no hybrid or workfromhome options.
  • The candidate must report to the Pune office daily.
  • The company does not provide accommodation or commuting facilities; candidates must be based in Pune or willing to relocate independently.
  • Must be disciplined, wellmannered, and professional in all dealings.
