Marketing & Communications Lead (Location: Pune | Full-time | On-site)

About Dispatch Network

Dispatch Network is building the most efficient last-mile network in India from the ground up using technology and AI-powered optimization to drive efficiency and earnings for delivery partners.

We operate across food delivery, quick commerce, grocery, ecommerce, and pharma serving both B2B clients and B2C consumers.

Role Objective

Own and execute Dispatch Network's external messaging across customers, riders, partners, and investors. Translate a technically strong product into clear, credible, and scalable communication that drives adoption, trust, and growth. This is a builder role, not a campaign manager.

Core Responsibilities

  • Brand & Narrative Ownership
    • Define and maintain Dispatch's core messaging:
      • Problem Solution Differentiation Proof
    • Ensure consistency across:
      • Website
      • Social Media
      • Pitch decks
      • Sales collateral
      • Rider-facing communication
      • PR and public content
    • Convert complex systems (AI routing, gig aggregation, efficiency metrics) into simple, relatable stories.
  • Marketing Execution (B2B + B2C-lite)
    • Design and run lean, measurable marketing initiatives:
      • City launch playbooks
      • Partner onboarding material
      • Rider acquisition & retention communication
    • Support sales and BD with:
      • One-pagers
      • Case studies
      • Performance snapshots (before/after metrics)
    • Work closely with ops to align marketing promises with ground reality.
  • Content & Communication
    • Own all outward-facing written material:
      • Website copy
      • Social media content
      • Blogs / explainers
      • LinkedIn & founder-led communication
      • Press releases (when needed)
    • Create clear internal communication artifacts:
      • Product updates
      • City launch briefs
      • Ops-to-marketing alignment docs

  • Growth & Experimentation
    • Run fast experiments on:
      • Rider acquisition messaging
      • Partner conversion funnels
      • City-level awareness
    • Track performance using simple, decision-ready metrics:
      • CAC
      • Conversion rates
      • Activation and retention signals
    • Kill what doesn't work quickly.

What This Role Is NOT


  • Not a social media-only role
  • Not an agency coordination job
  • Not brand-first, metrics-later
  • Not dependent on large budgets

Required Skills & Experience


Must-Haves

  • 48 years in marketing, communications, or growth at:
    • Startups
    • B2B / B2B2C platforms
    • Logistics, mobility, SaaS, or infra-led products
  • Strong writing and structuring ability
  • Experience working closely with:
    • Product
    • Ops
    • Founders
  • Comfort with ambiguity and fast iteration

Strong Plus

  • Experience in:
    • Marketplace businesses
    • Logistics / delivery / mobility
    • Platform or infra products
  • Data-literate (not analyst-level, but decision-oriented)
  • Prior involvement in:
    • Early GTM
    • City or market launches
    • Fundraising narratives

Success Metrics (First 3 Months)


  • Clear, repeatable Dispatch narrative used across teams
  • Sales and BD cycles shorten due to better material
  • Rider acquisition messaging improves activation and retention
  • Consistent external presence aligned with actual product capability
  • Leadership spends less time explaining Dispatch from scratch

  • Reports to: Founders
  • Works closely with:
    • Product
    • Ops
    • Business Development
    • City Operations
