Job Summary
The Senior Analyst leads the development, maintenance, and communication of complex, high-quality patient-based forecasts and competitive intelligence deliverables across a range of diseases with minimal oversight. This role plays a key role in strategic content planning, proactively monitors market shifts, and ensures forecasts and analysis align with evolving client needs. In addition to core forecasting and analytical responsibilities, the senior analyst supports the growth of junior team members through training and mentorship, while collaborating across functions to strengthen the impact and accuracy of our commercial insights.
Responsibilities
Take ownership and lead the development, maintenance, and refinement of high-quality
patient-based forecast models across multiple diseases, ensuring data accuracy, consistency,
and alignment with commercial analysis and market catalysts.
Independently conduct advanced primary and secondary research and market analysis to
support strategic insights, model assumptions, and commercial deliverables.
Translate complex market trends, sales data, and clinical developments into clear, actionable
insights across disease landscapes, while contributing content to disease analyses, forecast
rationales, and industry commentary.
Support strategic content planning by assisting the Therapy Area Director with prioritization of
content and forecast updates, identifying emerging data sources, and recommending
methodology enhancements.
Respond to client requests via the Ask the Analyst service and confidently present and defend
forecasting assumptions and model outputs in client demos and internal discussions.
Mentor junior analysts and forecasters by reviewing deliverables, providing methodological
guidance, and helping onboard new team members.
Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., forecasters, epidemiology, Insights, editorial) and
contribute to ad hoc projects, webinars, and white papers that elevate thought leadership.
Manage multiple projects with minimal oversight, balancing timelines and stakeholder
communication to ensure timely delivery of high-quality outputs across workstreams.
Qualifications
Holds a bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Biomedical Sciences; other degrees may be
accepted based on experience. Graduate degree a plus.
Brings 3-4 years of experience in a pharmaceutical company, biotech firm, or healthcare
consultancy. Commensurate skills include deep subject matter expertise, advanced forecasting
and analytical capabilities, and the ability to mentor junior staff while leading high-quality
content development.
Deep expertise in pharmaceutical markets and disease-specific landscape analysis.
Demonstrates a strong understanding of the drug development process and regulatory
environment.
Possesses proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with minimal
supervision.
Experienced in presenting findings to clients and defending forecasts or assumptions.
Proficient in Excel with familiarity in data tools like Tableau or Alteryx.
Capable of coaching junior team members and contributing to methodological improvement
across teams
