Job Description

The Marcom Manager is responsible for promoting the hotel's image, facilities, and services to the general public, customers, and the local community. This role focuses on gaining positive exposure through mass media and building a strong presence in the market by maintaining excellent relationships with the press and local organizations.

What will I be doing

As a Marcom Manager, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the hotel's products and services.
  • Promote all hotel offerings, including rooms, catering, banquets, and other services.
  • Support relevant departments in achieving revenue targets through marketing initiatives.
  • Develop and manage the hotel's advertising budget and external advertising plans.
  • Coordinate and implement communication strategies for hotel activities across all operational departments.
  • Ensure the hotel maintains a strong presence on mainstream platforms in primary source markets.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with media outlets (press, radio, digital media).
  • Supervise all hotel printed materials to ensure alignment with Hilton brand guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date hotel information across all digital and social media platforms (e.g., hotel homepage, official Weibo).
  • Monitor and respond promptly to guest reviews across various online platforms.
  • Plan and execute public relations activities, ensuring a strong return on investment (ROI).
  • Oversee the design, quality, and consistency of all marketing materials.
  • Manage targeted marketing databases and drive hotel promotional campaigns.
  • Track marketing expenditures in line with the department budget to optimize investment returns.
  • Collaborate with other departments and external organizations to support hotel projects.
  • Assist with photography, videography, and media interviews for both domestic and international outlets.
  • Maintain updated promotional kits and media galleries.
  • Regularly engage with local media to promote the hotel's visibility.
  • Oversee and manage all marketing design projects.
  • Lead and develop the Marcom team, ensuring departmental efficiency.
  • Undertake any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Marketing and Public Relations in international brand hotels.
  • Strong creative writing and content development skills.
  • Solid knowledge of advertising media planning and print production.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, web management, and basic desktop publishing systems.
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, with strong administrative capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills with local and national media.
  • Fluent in spoken and written Chinese and English (to meet business requirements).
  • Resourceful, creative, adaptable, and able to maintain flexibility under pressure.
