Role Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Marathi Translator (Freelancer) to support our AI and data initiatives by translating and localizing content with high accuracy and cultural relevance. This role plays a key part in building high-quality multilingual datasets and user experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate content between English and Marathi with high accuracy and clarity
- Ensure cultural and contextual relevance in all translations
- Review, edit, and proofread translated content for quality and consistency
- Follow project-specific guidelines and maintain linguistic standards
- Work on a variety of content types (text, datasets, UI content, etc.)
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve translation quality and workflows
Required Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in Marathi and English (reading, writing, comprehension)
- 1–3 years of experience in translation, localization, or content-related roles
- Excellent grammar, vocabulary, and language skills in Marathi
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency
- Ability to work independently in a remote setup and meet deadlines
Good to Have:
- Prior experience in AI data annotation or localization projects
- Familiarity with translation tools (CAT tools, glossaries, style guides)
- Background in linguistics, literature, or related fields
- Experience handling large volumes of content
