Role Overview:

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Marathi Audio Transcription Expert to work on a contractor basis. In this role you will convert spoken Marathi content into accurate, machinereadable text that will be used to train nextgeneration AI models. Your transcriptions will directly influence how languageunderstanding systems interpret regional dialects, improving the relevance of AI applications across finance, healthcare, and engineering domains.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transcribe and annotate Marathi audio recordings with a target accuracy of 99 % or higher, following the platform's formatting guidelines.

• Review, proofread, and correct transcriptions to eliminate errors, ensure consistency, and maintain linguistic fidelity.

• Record new nativelevel Marathi audio samples when prompted, contributing additional highquality data for model training.

• Collaborate with the project team to follow established workflows for speech data processing, including version control and metadata tagging.

• Uphold strict data confidentiality standards, securely handling all audio files and associated metadata throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Demonstrated proficiency in Marathi, including fluency in standard and regional variations, verified through prior transcription or linguistic work.

• Experience with audio transcription tools or platforms, and the ability to quickly adapt to custom annotation interfaces.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, enabling precise capture of timestamps, speaker identifiers, and domainspecific terminology.

• Ability to proofread and edit text for grammatical correctness, spelling, and punctuation in both Marathi and English where required.

• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment while maintaining clear communication with a distributed team.
