Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager with over 10+ years of expertise in managing shop floor operations, particularly in CNC machining environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing production processes, ensuring efficient utilization of resources, maintaining documentation, and driving continuous improvement in manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end manufacturing operations with a focus on CNC machining processes.
- Oversee process setup, ensuring optimal cycle times, quality, and efficiency.
- Supervise and guide production teams to meet daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
- Ensure proper maintenance and tracking of log sheets, production records, and documentation.
- Plan and manage tooling and fixtures for various machining operations.
- Coordinate with design and engineering teams for process improvements and manufacturability.
- Monitor machine utilization, downtime, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S).
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement root cause analysis (RCA).
- Manage vendor interactions related to tooling, maintenance, and materials.
- Support new product development with efficient manufacturing process planning
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing, with strong exposure to CNC machines.
- Proven expertise in process setup, tooling, and fixture development.
- Strong knowledge of machining processes, cutting tools, and materials.
- Experience in maintaining and auditing production log sheets and documentation.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement practices.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Good problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Knowledge of quality standards and inspection processes.
