Job Summary
The Manufacturing Manager plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing operations to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are consistently achieved. This role provides strong leadership to production teams, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and partners with cross-functional teams to meet customer and Site objectives. (Team Size: 15+ Dy. Managers, 80+ Sr. Supervisors/Supervisors, 9000+ Direct Labours including Line Leaders)
Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing & Operations Leadership
- Plan and manage daily manufacturing operations across all production lines.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, regulatory, and Jabil standard operating procedures.
- Monitor and improve KPIs including productivity, yield, scrap, cycle time, and delivery performance.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for operational issues.
- Highly skilled in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, VSM, Leading Gemba Walks and Visual Management
People & Performance Management
- Recruit, coach, and develop Assistant Manufacturing Managers, Line Managers, Supervisors, and Operators.
- Establish clear, measurable goals and conduct timely performance evaluations.
- Build succession plans and strengthen leadership bench strength.
- Promote a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
Continuous Improvement & Cost Control
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce cost.
- Optimize manpower, equipment utilization, and material flow.
- Reduce manufacturing costs related to scrap, rework, downtime, and labour inefficiencies.
Cross-Functional & Customer Collaboration
- Partner with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Planning, and Program Management teams.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI), production ramp-ups, and process changes.
- Participate in customer meetings, audits, and operational reviews, representing Jabil manufacturing capabilities.
Strategy & Business Alignment
- Translate site and business unit strategies into executable manufacturing plans.
- Support deployment of Jabil global manufacturing standards and systems.
- Contribute to capacity and capability planning to support current and future business needs.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field.
- Minimum 15-20+ years of manufacturing leadership experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment in Electronics Manufacturing or EMS Industry.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, people management, and operational KPIs.
- Proven leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
