The MES Analyst is responsible for maintaining the manufacturing IT systems deployed in Allison Transmission Inc.s (ATI) North American and International plants. The Manufacturing Systems Analyst will work closely with the Manufacturing Architecture Team and Plant Operations personnel to ensure that IT systems are working as designed and to implement systems enhancements requested by the ATI plants. The Manufacturing Execution Systems Analyst will also coordinate activities with ATI service providers for Server/Storage, Network, Database and Deskside when their services are needed to implement systems enhancements or to resolve information technology issues that affect the ATI plants. This position would be ideal for a recent tech savvy graduate or someone looking to build on their existing experience.

Job Description
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement client requested enhancements to the Manufacturing Execution team supported applications
Develop and implement performance improvement to the Manufacturing Execution team supported applications
Perform health checks on the manufacturing systems, including but not limited to:
Manufacturing Execution System Production Monitoring & Control (PM&C)
MES Visual Plant Management (Allison Industry 4.0 initiative to collect data from ATI's Internet of Things and visualizing the data through charts and desktop objects utilizing displays on the plant floor for data driven decision making)
Maintain Barcode Printing Solution including printer setup and configuration
Respond to manufacturing systems outages, including participating in a 24x7 on-call rotation
Keep abreast of new technology for manufacturing systems
Experience:
Education Requirement: Minimum of 2-year Associates degree in a technical field. Additional consideration given for 4-year BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer & Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar technical field.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Work experience or internship within a Manufacturing environment or relevant experience in the IT industry
Education and training related to the support or development of Windows, UNIX, or LINUX-based software
Training or experience in scripting/programming SQL, .NET, Angular, Node.JS and other languages
Ability to demonstrate a solid understanding of workstation, server, database, and network integration necessary to provide a complex IT solution
Ability to self-learn new technologies with little direction
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Advanced analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities
Preferred:
2+ years experience supporting information systems and infrastructure in a manufacturing organization
Experience or familiarity with manufacturing software such as GE Cimplicity or other SCADA and Barcode Label Printing, etc.
Experience developing and supporting web based applications
Experience developing or supporting applications built on SQL Server, including experience writing and supporting SQL stored procedures
Experience with developing and supporting solutions utilizing barcodes
