Key Responsibilities:
- Lead projects to design and implement manufacturing processes that align with safety, quality, and business objectives.
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes for Connecting Rod manufacturing lines, including tooling and cycle time enhancements.
- Oversee equipment selection, Design Approval Process (DAP), specification finalization, trials, and commissioning.
- Manage the PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) for equipment and line commissioning.
- Enhance plant layout and material flow for efficiency and productivity improvements.
- Ensure timely CAPEx and cash flow management to align with project timelines.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Analyze and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), providing on-site solutions and enhancements.
- Facilitate communication with site operations, Manufacturing Engineering (ME), Quality, and supplier teams.
- Track and document project milestones to ensure successful completion of New Business Startup (NBS) projects.
- Conduct supplier capacity mapping and create end-to-end Value Stream Mapping (VSM) for new lines.
- Support the implementation of IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) and Industry 4.0 technologies for new manufacturing lines.
- Apply continuous improvement tools and methodologies to enhance manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align project objectives and deliverables.
- Coach and mentor team members while maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Skills & Experience:
- Intermediate-level experience in manufacturing engineering or a related role.
- Proven experience leading manufacturing projects and process improvements.
- Strong knowledge of production part approval processes (PPAP) and capital procurement.
- Experience with Industry 4.0 and IIoT implementation in manufacturing environments.
- Ability to analyze OEE and develop efficiency-improving solutions.
- Proficiency in digital modeling tools for process simulation and improvement.
- Excellent problem-solving, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
- Hands-on experience with equipment trials, commissioning, and supplier collaboration.
