This is an independent consulting role with our client, a private equity firm who is looking for a Project Manager to lead the setup of a new manufacturing plants

Lead the end-to-end setup of a new manufacturing plant in Chennai, ensuring timely execution against project milestones.
Drive the PMO for cross-functional teams across operations, engineering, HR, procurement, finance, EHS and external vendors.
Coordinate and track statutory approvals, licences, registrations and regulatory compliances required for plant operations.
Manage plant infrastructure and MEP activities, including civil, electrical, HVAC, utilities and other site-readiness requirements.
Oversee equipment identification, ordering, delivery, installation and commissioning in line with project timelines.
Support team hiring, manpower planning, onboarding and deployment to ensure operational readiness.
Coordinate production line setup, trials and line stabilization, working with technical and operations teams to resolve issues.
Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, trackers, budgets, risk registers and status reports for Nash leadership.
Identify critical path activities, dependencies and project risks, and drive timely resolution/escalation.
Coordinate with vendors, contractors, consultants and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.
Ensure the plant is operationally ready for production, meeting required quality, safety, compliance and customer requirements.
Provide high-ownership execution support to Nash leadership, proactively identifying bottlenecks and driving closure.
