Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled QA Engineer with strong expertise in Manual Functional Testing and SQL to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in testing enterprise-level applications within the investment management/asset management domain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, execute, and maintain test cases, test plans, and test scripts for manual functional testing.
- Ensure comprehensive coverage of test scenarios based on business and functional requirements.
- Perform end-to-end testing for integrated enterprise applications.
- Identify, report, and track defects through the defect lifecycle.
- Write and execute complex SQL queries to validate database integrity and ensure data consistency.
- Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and other QA engineers to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and best practices.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and the defect lifecycle.
- Solid experience in manual functional testing of enterprise applications.
- Hands-on experience in testing applications within the investment management or asset management domain (preferred but not mandatory).
- Proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write and understand complex queries in Oracle databases.
- Ability to create detailed test cases, test plans, and test strategies.
- Experience working with bug-tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Familiarity with API testing (Postman, SOAP UI) is a plus.
