Description
We are seeking an experienced Manual Tester to join our dynamic team at a 42-year-old IT company in India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manual testing, with expertise in SDLC and STLC, and experience using Azure DevOps or TFS for test management. The Manual Tester will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through thorough testing and collaboration with development teams.
Responsibilities
- Execute manual testing processes throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Develop and maintain test cases, test scripts, and test data based on requirements and specifications.
- Participate in requirement analysis and design reviews to identify testable requirements.
- Report and track defects using Azure DevOps or TFS, ensuring timely communication with the development team.
- Perform regression testing and ensure the quality of software releases before deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of testing strategies.
- Provide input to improve testing processes and methodologies.
Skills and Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience in manual testing with a strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
- Proficiency in using Azure DevOps or TFS for test management and defect tracking.
- In-depth knowledge of manual testing methodologies, including test planning, design, execution, and reporting.
- Experience in writing clear and concise test cases and documentation.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues and suggest improvements.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
