Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Manual Tester with hands-on experience in the Acturis Insurance Platform. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of insurance domain processes, testing methodologies, and experience in validating web-based insurance applications. The candidate will work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual testing on applications built on the Acturis Insurance Platform.
- Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories.
- Create, review, and execute detailed test cases and test scenarios.
- Identify, log, track, and retest defects using defect management tools.
- Validate insurance workflows such as policy management, underwriting, claims, renewals, and quotations.
- Conduct functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Collaborate with developers and business teams to resolve issues effectively.
- Ensure software quality and adherence to business requirements.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings and provide testing status updates.
- Prepare test reports and maintain testing documentation.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of experience in Manual Testing.
- Hands-on experience working with the Acturis Insurance Platform.
- Strong understanding of Insurance domain processes and workflows.
- Experience in Functional Testing, Regression Testing, Integration Testing, and UAT.
- Good knowledge of SDLC and STLC methodologies.
- Experience in defect tracking and test management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar.
- Ability to write clear and comprehensive test cases.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Basic understanding of SQL/database testing.
- Exposure to API testing using Postman is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of automation testing concepts is a plus.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within teams.
- Prior experience in insurance product testing is highly preferred.
