Role Overview:
The Payment Testing Lead is responsible for leading a team of quality engineers through the testing lifecycle of payment systems, ensuring secure, reliable, and compliant transactions. They define end-to-end testing strategies, manage complex, high-transaction environments, and collaborate with developers and stakeholders to drive quality.
- Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of testing engineers, setting priorities and managing deliverables in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Domain Expertise: Apply deep knowledge of payment lifecycles, including initiation, authorization, settlement, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Technical Testing: Perform and oversee API testing (REST/SOAP), database validation (SQL/NoSQL), and mobile app testing (Android/iOS).
- Scenario Testing: Create and execute complex test scenarios including transaction flow (success/decline), refund management, currency conversion, and UPI/Card integrations.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Mandatory : Experience with fintech + ecommerce + SQL + payments (UPI is added advantage)
- Experience: Minimum 7+ years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on the payments or banking domain.
- Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of payment gateways, POS systems, SWIFT, SEPA, ISO 20022 (MT/MX formats), and RTGS systems.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL for database testing, API testing tools (Postman/Rest-Assured), and test management tools (JIRA/ALM).
