Position Title

Manual QA Test Engineer

Role Overview

The QA/SQA will be responsible for validating the functionality, usability, and overall quality of the platform across multiple devices, browsers, and environments. The role demands close collaboration with Product Owners, Developers, and UI/UX teams to ensure defect-free releases and alignment with business expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria shared via Jira or PRDs
  • Design, review, and execute detailed test scenarios and test cases for web, iOS, and Android platforms.
  • Conduct functional, regression, integration, and UAT support testing across different user roles and workflows. vbn
  • Validate cross-browser and cross-device compatibility as per the approved test matrix.
  • Perform API validation (via Postman or equivalent tools) to ensure backend and frontend consistency.
  • Log, track, and retest defects using Jira or similar tools within agreed SLAs.
  • Coordinate closely with developers and product managers during defect triage meetings.
  • Validate CMS-driven content changes, configurations, and regional settings (multi-locale testing).
  • Participate in test case walkthroughs, peer reviews, and sprint reviews to maintain coverage and quality standards.
  • Prepare and share daily/weekly status reports and contribute to test summary documentation.

Skills And Qualifications

Must Have:

  • 26 years of experience in manual functional testing for large-scale web and mobile applications.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect lifecycle management.
  • Experience in testing responsive web designs and mobile apps (iOS & Android).
  • Exposure to API testing (Postman or similar).
  • Working knowledge of test case management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr, Xray).
  • Ability to analyze logs, screenshots, and API responses for debugging.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and documentation skills.
  • Strong communication and coordination abilities for client and cross-team interactions.
  • Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with CMS validation, payment gateway testing, or loyalty integrations.
  • Understanding of compliance and data privacy (GDPR, PCI-DSS).

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • ISTQB Foundation Level or equivalent certification preferred.
