Job Title: Manual QA Engineer
Location: India (Remote)
Contract Duration: 6+ months (with high possibility of extension)
About The Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented
Manual QA Engineer to join our team. This role is primarily focused on
manual functional testing (70%), with a secondary expectation of having
basic knowledge of automation tools (30%). The ideal candidate will ensure product quality by identifying, documenting, and tracking issues, while collaborating closely with developers, business analysts, and product managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough manual functional testing of web and mobile applications.
- Create, maintain, and execute detailed test cases and test scenarios.
- Identify, document, and track defects using Jira or similar tools.
- Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to ensure quality standards are met.
- Conduct regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Contribute to test planning, reporting, and continuous process improvement.
- Utilize basic knowledge of Selenium, Java, and automation concepts to support the QA process (note: no scripting required).
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in manual functional testing.
- Strong expertise of Functional QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Hands-on experience with Jira or other defect management tools.
- Basic knowledge of automation tools such as Selenium and programming concepts in Java (no scripting required).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
