Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Manual QA Engineer to ensure the quality, stability, and performance of our web and mobile applications. This role is responsible for designing and executing test cases, identifying defects, collaborating closely with product and engineering teams, and contributing to continuous QA process improvements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced in high-transaction environments, with strong ownership and a solid background in e-commerce testing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze product requirements and design comprehensive, well-structured manual test cases
  • Execute functional, regression, sanity, exploratory, and ad-hoc testing for web and mobile applications
  • Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure consistent user experience across platforms
  • Identify, record, and track defects using tools such as Jira; collaborate with developers for timely fixes
  • Conduct root cause analysis of critical issues and recommend process improvements
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and fellow QA engineers to ensure smooth project execution
  • Deliver training, demos, or walkthroughs of test scenarios to QA peers and stakeholders when needed
  • Actively participate in agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and best practices

Experience

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of professional experience as a QA Engineer.
  • Mandatory: Minimum 1 year of experience in the e-commerce industry.
  • Strong experience in manual testing for both web and mobile applications (iOS/Android).
  • Hands-on experience in:
    • Test planning, execution, and reporting
    • Functional, UI, regression, sanity, exploratory, and ad-hoc testing
    • Cross-browser and cross-device testing
  • Experience using bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
  • Experience collaborating in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Experience performing root cause analysis and driving process improvements.
  • Exposure to fast-paced, high-transaction systems (bonus).
  • Experience delivering demos, walkthroughs, or training sessions to QA peers/stakeholders (bonus).
  • Knowledge of performance, usability, or accessibility testing practices (bonus)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Functional testing
    • UI/UX validation
    • QA methodologies and best practices
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and QA teams.
  • High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative.
  • Plus: ISTQB, CSTE, or similar QA certifications.
