About the Role

Ashapuri Gold Ornament Limited is looking for an experienced and creative Manual Jewellery Designer with strong expertise in South Indian Temple Jewellery and Kundan Jewellery.

The candidate will be responsible for developing traditional and contemporary jewellery designs through manual sketching, with a strong understanding of jewellery proportions, craftsmanship, detailing, and manufacturing feasibility.

This is a project-based opportunity, suitable for a designer who can independently handle design requirements from concept development through production-ready design references.

Key Responsibilities

• Create hand-drawn jewellery designs for South Temple and Kundan jewellery collections.
• Prepare detailed sketches with accurate proportions, dimensions and design elements.
• Integrate South Indian aesthetics (goddess motifs, floral vines, peacocks, temple architectural lines & other heritage elements) with Kundan gemstone settings (cabochon rubies, uncut Polki/diamonds, emeralds, and south-sea pearls).
• Design Kundan jewellery with appropriate stone settings, kundan work, meenakari elements and traditional detailing.
• Understand gold jewellery manufacturing techniques and ensure designs are practically manufacturable.
• Coordinate with production, CAD designers, craftsmen and management whenever required.
• Create multiple design variations based on a given theme, reference or market requirement.
• Support the team during sampling and make necessary design corrections based on production feedback.

Required Skill & Preferred Experience

• 2–5+ years of relevant experience in manual jewellery designing.
• Experience specifically in South Temple Jewellery and Kundan Jewellery will be preferred.
• Candidates with a strong portfolio of hand-drawn traditional jewellery designs will be preferred.
• Strong manual jewellery sketching and drawing skills.
• Excellent knowledge of South Indian Temple Jewellery.
• Good knowledge of SouthKundan jewellery design and traditional techniques.
• Knowledge of gold jewellery manufacturing and stone-setting processes.
• Ability to visualize a finished jewellery product from a hand sketch.
• Good understanding of traditional Indian jewellery aesthetics

Project-Based Terms

• This position is offered on a project basis.
• Project duration and commercial terms will be mutually agreed upon based on the scope of work.
• The designer should be able to complete assigned designs within agreed timelines.
• Compensation can be structured as per design / per collection / monthly project fee, depending on project requirements.
