Manual Automation Test Engineer

Job description

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
• Hands-on experience of manual and automated testing major application(s) including product release andautomation using Selenium
• Software application testing experience including test deliverables development using manual and automated testing
• Strong knowledge of quality best practices and methodologies for software testing (manual and automatedtesting)
• Experience with Selenium WebDriver for functional, regression, performance testing, sanity testing, smoketesting
• Experience with JMeter
• Experience of Selenium Java framework with strong hands-on with Java, JVM, relational databases and SQL
• Data analysis, data verification by SQL queries and problem-solving abilities
• Good understanding of relational database concepts and SQL language
• Experience with JIRA/Confluence and QTest Manager will be an advantage
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment with both on-shore andoff-shore resources
• Strong technical aptitude, time management and organizational skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skillsStrong analytical skills and ability to multi-task day-to-day activities
• Both manual and automated testing
• Assist the product quality team in pivoting to a primarily automated testing
• Comfortably run and read automated test scripts, prioritization of use cases to be scripted, contribute to code reviews, write medium-high complexity test scripts independently
• Automate functional tests whenever required
• Manual testing will focus on utilizing expertise in business knowledge and system functionality via exploratory testing in order to find defects outside of the main use cases.
• Collaborate with Software Engineers, Product Managers, and Software Quality Engineers in test plan creation& execution to ensure proper test coverage and rigor
• Serve as a test lead or point person for providing testing estimates and communicating test plan, report metrics and conduct reviews/audits to ensure that all project work and deliverables consistently meet ProductQuality standards
• Support and mentor other Software Test Engineers
• Become a SME in the product domain
• Map business and technical requirements into test cases and/or test scripts
• Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of quality assurance best practices
