Data Collection & Acquisition :

Design and execute comprehensive data collection strategies from known and unknown sources across global markets
Identify and establish relationships with new data providers, vendors, and partners worldwide
Research and implement innovative methods and technologies for data acquisition
Collect structured and unstructured data from web sources, APIs, public databases, third-party vendors, and proprietary channels
Develop automated data collection pipelines and workflows to improve efficiency

Data Management & Versioning

Implement robust data versioning systems to track changes, updates, and historical records
Maintain comprehensive documentation of data sources, collection methodologies, and lineage
Ensure data quality through validation, cleaning, and standardisation processes
Manage data catalogues and metadata repositories
Create and maintain data collection protocols and standard operating procedures

Compliance & Privacy

Ensure all data collection activities comply with GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant privacy regulations
Conduct privacy impact assessments for new data collection initiatives
Work closely with legal and compliance teams to maintain adherence to data protection policies
Implement data anonymization and pseudonymization techniques where required
Stay updated on evolving privacy laws and regulations globally

Innovation & Strategy

Research emerging technologies and methodologies in data collection (AI/ML, web scraping, IoT, etc.)
Propose and pilot innovative data acquisition approaches
Evaluate new tools, platforms, and vendors for data collection capabilities
Identify gaps in current data holdings and recommend solutions

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with AI/ML-powered data collection techniques
Background in market research, business intelligence, or data analytics companies
Certifications in data privacy (CIPP/E, CIPM) or data management (CDMP)
Experience with data quality tools (Great Expectations, Talend, etc.)
Knowledge of international data transfer mechanisms and frameworks
Experience in collecting biometric, image, audio, or IRIS-based datasets (a plus).
