Job Purpose
The Development Manager is responsible for overseeing the development of product extensions, reports, labels, and other platform enhancements, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic objectives.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage and coordinate development activities, ensuring alignment with business requirements and strategic objectives.
- Develop, maintain, and enforce a comprehensive Development RunBook.
- Plan, schedule, and monitor development tasks and timelines to meet project milestones.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Technical Architects, and QA teams for efficient development cycles.
- Facilitate continuous improvement and innovation in development practices and methodologies.
Knowledge, Experience & Skills
- a. Education & Qualifications:
- Essential: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Desirable: Certifications in project management, software development, or Agile methodologies.
- b. Experience:
- Essential: Minimum 7 years experience managing software development teams.
- Essential: Demonstrable expertise in managing complex software development projects and extensions.
- Essential: Experience in logistics, supply chain platforms, or similar industries.
- c. Specialist Knowledge & Skills:
- Essential: proven expertise on Manhattan Active WMS, including exposure to Pro-Active, Config Director and Manhattan Active GO, IBM Cognos reporting.
- Essential: Deep knowledge of software development processes, methodologies, and lifecycle management.
- Essential: Proficient in development planning, resource management, and quality assurance practices.
- Desirable: Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
