Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the company's business strategies in order to attain the goals of the board and shareholders
  • Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate achievement by planning cost-effective operations and market development activities
  • Monitoring company policies and legal guidelines
  • Communicate and maintain trust relationships with shareholders, business partners and authorities
  • Oversee the company's financial performance, investments and other business ventures
  • Delegate responsibilities and supervise the work of executives providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance
  • Read all submitted reports by lower rank managers to reward performance, prevent issues and resolve problems
  • Analyze problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions to ensure company survival and growth
  • Ensure performance appraisal, training and professional development activities

  • Further develop and enhance company culture
  • Remain close to all stakeholders including the chairman and board members, staff, clients, key-decision makers and external service suppliers
  • Research and implement new initiatives to drive revenue, lower operating costs while maintain quality products that are competitive, all while delivery excellent customer support
  • Continuous monitoring of the annual budget and ensure that revenue/sales targets are met
  • Promote the wellness of staff and implementing policies in line with labour legislation and health and safety guidelines to create a diverse and positive working environment
  • Preparation of annual reports and attending/presenting at board meetings

Key Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering or related discipline
  • Extensive experience as a managing director or in a similar role (minimum 10 years of experience)
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategic and business plans
  • Construction management experiences in overseas project sites.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate in Japanese for coordination with JGC Yokohama and other Japanese stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to excel in high-pressure situations
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
