Manager Visualization Engineer

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES(Percent of Time)

1. Dashboard Design, Development, Deployment, and Support(60%)

• Design, build, and deploy interactive dashboards using Power BI and Tableau.
• Translate business needs into technical specifications and visual reports.
• Develop backend integrations using Python and other backend technologies.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for dashboard and reporting solutions.
• Ensure dashboards effectively communicate business data insights and meet end-user expectations.
• Maintain and monitor applications in production environments, including implementing user feedback and iterative improvements.

2. Techno-Functional & People Management(20%)

• Oversee both technical and functional aspects of data projects.
• Provide hands-on support with dashboarding tools and backend development.
• Mentor and guide junior developers and visualization engineers.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment focused on delivery and innovation.

3. Cross-Team Collaboration & Continuous Learning(10%)

• Work closely with designers, developers, product managers, and implementation partners.
• Participate in code reviews and collaborative problem-solving discussions.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices in data visualization, backend engineering, and DevOps.
• Experiment with new tools, libraries, and frameworks to enhance processes and solution quality.

4. Business Process Understanding (Manufacturing & ERP)(10%)

• Gain and apply knowledge in Global Manufacturing & Supply processes such as:
• Production planning, inventory, quality control, MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems).
• Exposure to SAP-ERP landscape and its integration with visualization/reporting tools.
• Align dashboard solutions with supply chain and manufacturing workflows.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and define project goals.
• Work alongside implementation partners for deployment and configuration support.
• Coordinate with developers, product managers, and infrastructure teams to overcome technical challenges and ensure delivery success.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Education:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Experience:

• 8–10+ years of experience in data visualization, dashboard development, or data engineering.
• Proven hands-on expertise in Power BI and Tableau (required).
• Backend programming experience in Python, Ruby is a plus.
• Strong grasp of SQL, API development, and data lake/Postgres integration.
• Proficiency in using Git and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Exceptional analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills; ability to convey technical details to non-technical stakeholders.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

• Visualization Tools: Power BI (expert), Tableau (expert)
• Programming: Python, Ruby (preferred)
• Databases: SQL, Postgres
• DevOps: CI/CD Pipelines, Git
• Other: API Development, Data Visualization Libraries

PHYSICAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Standard working hours: 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM IST
• Occasional extended overlap with Eastern Standard Time (EST) required, especially during production go-live phases.
