Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Manage Trade Commercial controlling and monitoring of budgets, Monthly GTN & AnP Accruals, manage Trade Promotion Management (TPM) Tool, ROI assessment basis TPM MIS, GTN & Trade AnP execution and monitoring, Regular MIS to facilitate analysis and decision making

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage Trade GTN/price offs/consumer promotions/etc and sales promotion budgets and processes related to approvals, Return on Investment forecast and post-facto analysis
  • Review and standardize Terms of Trade and margins across channels/accounts and look for margin optimization opportunities year on year
  • Prepare monthly GTN and Trade AnP related accrual detail in basis inputs from Trade Customer Marketing Team and National Account Managers. Monitor and review Balance sheet accrual value on monthly basis as per claims settled.
  • Review 3rd party HC cost and accruals managed by Trade (e.g. Merchandisers, Nutrition Advisors, ISR, etc)
  • Review market returns (expired/non saleable) at brand/channel/geography level and put in place the plans to optimize market returns
  • Review inventory aging, short expiry inventory, demand pattern at SKU/Channel level to minimize risk towards expiries and obsolescence
  • Manager Trade Promotion Management Tool: Conduct pre and post evaluation of consumer promotions/various schemes considering ROI assessment
  • Prepare monthly gross-to-net and profitability MIS for all channel/ account/ brand/ SKU/ region/ state and other cuts as relevant. Circulate MIS with relevant stakeholders, conduct review discussions and act upon the derived action items.
  • Coordinate with CFS function for accounting, auditing and other relevant matters.
  • Monthly channel and customer level P&L with forecasted P&L for rest of the year.
  • Handle various audits including resolution of queries.
  • Support the Head Commercial Controlling in development, implementation and maintaining accounting and administrative policies and procedures for a wide-ranging set of activities including financial accounting and reporting and other corporate policies
  • Actively coordinate towards building systems, automation/use of technology and processes to improve/bring efficiency on MIS/ financial and commercial analysis. Assist in reviewing existing Finance/commercial SOPs.
