Job Description
Position: Assistant General Manager / Manager – Technical Services
Location: Dahej, Gujarat
Industry: Chemical / Petrochemical / Manufacturing
Experience: 5+ Years
Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech in Chemical Engineering
Key Responsibilities:
Identify operating bottlenecks through process monitoring, technical audits, failure investigations and data analysis.
Assist the Production Head in troubleshooting technical and process-related issues.
Prepare technically feasible proposals and coordinate their implementation.
Drive initiatives for yield enhancement, efficiency, productivity, cost reduction, quality improvement and EHS.
Coordinate and monitor performance guarantee tests for process plants.
Prepare failure analysis reports and process/equipment/instrument data sheets.
Conduct periodic process and energy audits.
Coordinate MOC (Management of Change) activities, including RCA, HAZOP and cost-benefit analysis.
Analyse critical process parameters and prepare process/performance calculations.
Coordinate with process licensors, external agencies, vendors and technical consultants.
Prepare utility allocation reports, plant performance reports, MIS and energy conservation reports.
Maintain and update ISO documentation and technical engineering records.
Provide technical training and knowledge sharing to junior team members.
Required Skills:
Strong process engineering knowledge.
Good technical approach and troubleshooting capability.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Experience in RCA, HAZOP, MOC and process/energy audits.
Positive, result-oriented and innovative approach.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
10–15 years of relevant experience in Production / Technical Services within the Chemical / Petrochemical industry.
Strong troubleshooting and process improvement experience.
Ability to coordinate with Production, Maintenance, vendors and technical consultants.
Good leadership, teamwork and communication skills.
