Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager – Talent Acquisition & HR Operations to lead end-to-end recruitment and core HR operations for our Contracting and EPC business. The role requires strong expertise in hiring for construction, engineering, project management, and corporate functions, along with hands-on experience in HR operations, employee lifecycle management, compliance coordination, and HR process improvement. The ideal candidate should understand the fast-paced requirements of EPC and construction projects, manpower mobilization, and workforce planning across project sites and corporate offices.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Recruitment & Workforce Planning
- Lead end-to-end recruitment for corporate office and project/site-based positions.
- Manage hiring for technical and non-technical roles including:
- Project Managers
- Site Engineers
- Planning Engineers
- Billing Engineers
- QS Engineers
- QA/QC
- Safety
- Procurement
- Contracts
- HR, Finance & Admin functions
- Partner with department heads and project teams for manpower planning and hiring forecasts.
- Understand project timelines and ensure timely mobilization of manpower.
- Handle bulk hiring requirements for multiple ongoing projects simultaneously.
Sourcing & Talent Pipeline
- Develop strong sourcing strategies through job portals, social media, references, consultants, networking, and internal databases.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of candidates for critical and recurring positions.
- Manage relationships with recruitment agencies and external hiring partners.
- Conduct market mapping and talent benchmarking within the EPC and construction industry.
- Implement innovative hiring strategies to reduce recruitment turnaround time.
Candidate Management
- Screen profiles, conduct preliminary interviews, and coordinate technical interview processes.
- Assess candidate suitability based on technical competency, project exposure, and cultural fit.
- Manage salary negotiations, offer discussions, and joining formalities.
- Ensure positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
- Track offer-to-joining ratio and reduce dropouts through proactive engagement.
Recruitment Operations & Reporting
- Maintain recruitment trackers, dashboards, and hiring MIS reports.
- Monitor recruitment KPIs such as:
- Time-to-hire
- Cost-per-hire
- Joining ratio
- Source effectiveness
- Open position ageing
- Ensure recruitment processes comply with organizational policies and timelines.
- Support employer branding initiatives to strengthen talent attraction.
HR Operations
- Oversee onboarding and induction processes for new joiners.
- Ensure proper documentation and employee file management.
- Coordinate probation confirmations, transfers, and exit formalities.
- Maintain employee records and HRMIS data accuracy.
- Coordinate with payroll and administration teams for employee-related processes.
- Support implementation of HR policies and employee engagement initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent qualification.
- Experience: 8 to 12 of HR experience with strong specialization in Talent Acquisition within Contracting, EPC, Construction, Infrastructure, and Real Estate sectors.
- Sector Exposure: Contracting, EPC, Construction, Infrastructure, and Real Estate
Technical & Soft Skills:
- Strong expertise in Talent Acquisition and recruitment strategy.
- Excellent understanding of EPC/construction job roles and project manpower requirements.
- Strong sourcing, interviewing, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple critical positions simultaneously.
- Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Proficiency in job portals, HRMS, and MS Office.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet aggressive hiring timelines.
