Job Summary
The Supply Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining supply plans that ensure product availability while optimizing inventory, production, and distribution costs. The role acts as a key link between demand planning, manufacturing, procurement, and logistics teams
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute short-term and long-term supply plans based on demand forecasts
- Coordinate with manufacturing, procurement, and logistics to align capacity and material availability
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent stock-outs and excess stock
- Track supplier lead times, production constraints, and capacity limitations
- Participate in S&OP / IBP processes and planning reviews
- Identify supply risks and propose mitigation plans
- Analyse variances between planned vs actual supply and recommend improvements
- Maintain planning data and reports using ERP systems
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in supply chain planning
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced Excel skills; working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / APO / Kinaxis)
- Good understanding of inventory management and supply chain processes
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Detail-oriented with a proactive mindset
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or Business
- Certification in Supply Chain (APICS / CPIM) is an advantage
Experience
- 4–6years of experience in supply planning / production planning / inventory planning
- Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, retail, pharma, or e-commerce preferred
