Manager - Strategy

The Role :

At Recykal, strategy is not a support function. It is a growth engine. As part of the Strategy team, you will work alongside business leaders to shape high impact decisions that influence growth, profitability and long term market positioning. You will be embedded within a business unit cluster, working as a strategic partner who turns ambiguity into action.

CORE MANDATE:

• Own annual strategic planning for the assigned business unit cluster — market sizing, competitive landscaping, and opportunity assessment.
• Translate strategic plans into actionable roadmaps with clear milestones, resource requirements, and success metrics.
• Lead strategic projects spanning product launches, pricing strategy, and market expansion.
• Act as the strategic bridge between business units and central leadership, aligning priorities across teams.
• Define leading and lagging indicators for strategic health and build dashboards that surface the right signals.
• Prepare executive presentations and board-level materials that drive decision-making at the top.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• 4–8 years in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, or business development
• Strong analytical and financial modelling capabilities; comfortable building models from scratch
• Experience solving complex, end-to-end strategic business problems with measurable impact
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for modelling, analysis, and executive storytelling
• Familiarity with data visualization and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a strong plus
• MBA / equivalent postgraduate degree preferred; strong academic foundation in business or economics

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

A. BU STRATEGY & ANNUAL PLANNING

• Own annual strategic planning; conduct market sizing, competitive landscaping and opportunity assessments
• Translate strategic plans into actionable roadmaps with milestones and success metrics
• Work with BU heads to define strategic priorities for the year ahead
• Monitor strategy execution, track KPIs, and flag early-warning signals

B. COMMERCIAL & GROWTH INITIATIVES

• Lead strategic projects — product launches, pricing strategy, market expansion
• Build robust financial models and business cases for new opportunities
• Identify white spaces and adjacencies for growth
• Partner with Sales, Product and Operations to convert strategy into measurable outcomes

C. CROSS-FUNCTIONAL LEADERSHIP

• Act as the strategic bridge between business units and central leadership
• Collaborate with Finance, Product and Operations on cross-functional initiatives
• Influence decision-making without direct authority
• Build trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels

D. PERFORMANCE & INSIGHTS

• Define leading and lagging indicators for strategic health; build dashboards for leadership
• Develop competitive intelligence frameworks to track market dynamics and benchmark Recykal's position

E. EXECUTIVE COMMUNICATION & STORYTELLING

• Prepare crisp, well-structured executive presentations and board-level materials
• Synthesize complex data into clear, decision-ready recommendations
• Communicate decisions and strategic context in a way that builds confidence and clarity
