You will oversee the strategic execution and financial health of the marketing function. Reporting directly to the Head of Strategic Marketing, you will manage a portfolio of multiple critical initiatives, ensuring they stay on track, on budget, and aligned with our long-term goals. You are responsible for removing friction before it reaches the leadership desk and providing the so what behind every data point.
Core Responsibilities
- Strategic Project Leadership: Own the momentum for multiple high-priority initiatives. You will translate high-level strategy into actionable project plans, managing dependencies.
- Global Stakeholder Management: Act as a trusted partner and bridge between senior leadership (VPs/Directors) in both the US and India. You must be comfortable navigating different cultural work styles and aligning disparate priorities for global stakeholders.
- Executive Synthesis & Reporting: You'll provide insights into the various initiatives and create a weekly reporting cadence that highlights what changed, risks and decisions needed.
- Budget Management & Stewardship: Direct oversight of the marketing budget. You will track spend across multiple initiatives, manage vendor relationships, and ensure we are optimizing our investments to drive maximum ROI.
- Operational Integration: Act as the primary liaison between the various marketing functions. You will ensure that technical foundations are integrated into our brand and customer narratives seamlessly.
- High-Agency Problem Solving: You are expected to identify blockers early and resolve them independently. When a project stalls, you find the path forward rather than just flagging the delay.
The Ideal Candidate
- The So What Filter: You have a natural ability to filter through noise and present only what matters. You understand that your job is to save leadership time, not fill it with data.
- High Agency: You possess an owner mindset. You take full accountability for outcomes and don't wait for permission to solve problems or unblock a team.
- Financial Literacy: You are comfortable managing complex spreadsheets and budgets. You understand the business impact of marketing spend and can defend budget allocations with logic.
- Global Fluency: You are adept at managing stakeholders across different geographies and time zones, particularly bridging the gap between India-based execution and US-based leadership.
Qualifications
- 6–9 years of professional experience, with a significant tenure (3+ years) in a top-tier management consulting firm (e.g., Deloitte, PwC, Accenture, or MBB).
- Post-Consulting Experience: Ideally 2+ years in a Strategy & Ops, Founders Office, or Marketing Planning role within a high-growth SaaS or tech environment.
- Education: MBA from a premier institute (IIM, ISB, or equivalent) is preferred but not mandatory if the professional track record is exceptional.
- Location: Based in Bangalore or Pune, with the flexibility to align with US-based stakeholders as needed.
