Manager/Sr Manager - Solar Water Heater & Heat Pump

Role & responsibilities

1. Heat Pump Performance and Component Analysis:

- Analyse and evaluate the performance of heat pump systems to ensure optimal operation and efficiency.

- Identify performance issues and provide actionable insights to improve overall functionality.

- Deeply understand and evaluate all critical components of heat pump systems and able to perform in-depth analysis of system components.

2.Troubleshooting Heat Pump Operations:

- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in heat pump systems, addressing mechanical and electrical problems efficiently.

- Guide the Service team to perform necessary Installation SOPs & repair SOPs to ensure smooth operations, minimize downtime, and maintain system reliability.

3. New Product Development and R & D Projects:

- Collaborate with the cross functional team to drive new product development and innovation, VAVE projects

- Contribute to design and testing efforts, ensuring the feasibility and reliability of new ideas and concepts

4. Support to Sales and Marketing:

- Application Engineering, System Design, and technical support to Sales & marketing

5. Familiarity with Benchmarking/ Exposure to PLM (windchill) will be an added advantage.

Preferred candidate profile

Experience:

- Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in Solar and Heat Pump Systems, design of heat pumps based hot water

systems, with hands-on involvement in troubleshooting and repair processes.

Technical Expertise:

- Strong knowledge of all components of Solar Water Heaters and heat pump systems, including compressors, heat

exchangers, and refrigerant circuits, Solar ETC and FPC systems

- Expertise in diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, and control system issues in heat pumps.

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:

- Excellent analytical skills to assess performance issues and identify solutions quickly and effectively.

- Strong troubleshooting abilities to ensure minimal disruption to operations and quick resolution of problems.

R&D and Innovation:

- Experience or interest in working on R&D projects, driving innovation within the heat pump industry.

Communication Skills:

- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and cross-functional teams, especially when

collaborating on R&D or technical projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

- BE (Mech)/BE (Electrical)/ HVAC or Equivalent

- Familiarity with industry standards and codes related to heat pump

- Experience working in a factory or industrial setting, particularly with HVAC systems
