Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage new product development in construction chemicals such as:
- Concrete admixtures
- Waterproofing systems
- Repair mortars & grouts
- Industrial floorings & coatings
- Surface treatments and sealants
- Drive innovation projects in collaboration with marketing and technical teams based on customer feedback and market demand.
- Evaluate and implement sustainable and cost-effective formulations.
- Lead pilot plant trials and assist production teams during scale-up and commercialization.
- Collaborate with raw material suppliers for technical discussions, product validation, and alternate sourcing.
- Ensure compliance with BIS, ASTM, EN, ISO, and environmental regulations relevant to product performance and safety.
- Supervise lab activities, QA/QC testing protocols, and product benchmarking.
- Mentor and manage a team of scientists and lab technicians, promoting a culture of research, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation including TDS, MSDS, formulation sheets, and product certifications.
- Interact with customers, applicators, and project teams to provide on-site technical support, training, and troubleshooting.
- Liaise with academic institutions and research partners for co-development opportunities.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong formulation and application knowledge in construction chemicals.
- Familiarity with chemical testing instruments (e.g., rheometers, viscometers, FTIR, SEM, etc.).
- Deep understanding of performance standards and industry trends.
- Excellent team leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple R&D projects simultaneously.
- Strong documentation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience in patent writing or product IP management is a plus.
