Manager /Sr. Manager -MFD Channel

Experience: 3-5 Yrs.

Location: Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai,Ahmedabad, Surat.

Reports To:Channel Head/ Regional Head

Job Summary:

The Manager / Sr. Manager - MFD Channel will be responsible for empaneling and activating identified mutual fund distributors (MFDs) with a market Assets Under Management (AUM) between 10 Crores to 200 Crores. The incumbent will work towards building a strong asset base for the Mutual Fund, Portfolio Management Services (PMS), and Alternative Investment Funds (AIF) through these mapped and empaneled distributors.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Empanelment and Activation:

  • Identify and empanel mutual fund distributors whose market AUM falls between 25 Crores to 200 Crores.
  • Activate the empanelled MFDs to achieve targeted business goals.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups and engagement activities to ensure continuous activation and business flow.

2. Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with empanelled MFDs.
  • Provide regular support, training, and updates on product offerings, market trends, and investment strategies.
  • Address any issues or concerns raised by the distributors promptly and effectively.

3. Business Development:

  • Develop and implement strategies to grow the asset base through the mapped MFDs.
  • Monitor and analyse the performance of distributors to identify growth opportunities and areas of improvement.
  • Drive sales and AUM growth for Mutual Funds, PMS, and AIF products.

4. Market Intelligence:

  • Keep abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes.
  • Gather insights on distributor needs and preferences to tailor offerings and strategies accordingly.

5. Reporting and Compliance:

  • Preferably NISM VA & 21A Certified, or joining will be subject to these certifications.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and internal policies while engaging with MFDs.
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions and transactions with distributors.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CFP) is a plus.
  • Proven experience in sales, distribution, or relationship management within the financial services industry, particularly in mutual funds, PMS, and AIF , Insurance , Sub broking
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and results-oriented approach.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrated ability to empanel and activate distributors with a significant AUM.
  • Experience in building and managing relationships with high-net-worth distributors.
  • Knowledge of investment products and strategies suitable for different market segments.
  • Analytical skills to assess market conditions and distributor performance.
