Manager/Sr. Manager - Electrical Design

Key Responsibilities:

• Electrical Design Review & Coordination:
• Oversee and review electrical designs for both ongoing and upcoming projects.
• Ensure alignment of design outputs with project time, cost, and scope targets—eliminating deviations.
• Collaborate with project consultants and engineering teams for the design and specification of plant electrical equipment, substations, and MRS (Main Receiving Stations).
• Finalize project specifications for electrical equipment, switchgear, and cables, in accordance with the latest design standards and regulatory norms.
• Project Engineering & Monitoring:
• Track, monitor, and control project deliverables to ensure alignment with strategic operational objectives.
• Coordinate the preparation and review of Material Take-Off (MTO) lists and Bills of Quantity (BOQ) to support timely procurement activities.
• Monitor the engineering (design) progress and update stakeholders on status and critical changes.
• Ensure adherence to project design best practices and support design consultancy based on the Basic Engineering Package (BEP).
• Drawing & Documentation Review:
• Review equipment manufacturing drawings, general arrangement (GA) drawings, and ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Manage preparation and final review of as-built drawings for project documentation and handover.
• Stakeholder Management & Support:
• Act as the single point of contact for assigned projects from concept through to execution.
• Conduct regular project review meetings to identify issues and plan effective countermeasures.
• Support the selection and evaluation of design consultants based on project requirements.
• Provide technical support to the construction team, resolving field engineering issues and managing Design Change Notes (DCNs).

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong expertise in electrical design and engineering within the Chemical, Petrochemical, or Refinery sectors.
• Solid experience handling grassroots-level project activities.
• Capable of managing complex engineering deliverables and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Skilled in vendor development and coordination with project design consultants.

Educational Qualification:

• B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
