WHAT WILL YOU DO AT WHOLSUM FOODS

We are looking for a strategic and detail-oriented Sr. Manager – Demand & Supply Planning to lead end-to-end planning across channels and categories. Reporting to the Head of Operations, this role will own forecasting accuracy, supply planning, inventory optimisation, and service levels while enabling seamless collaboration across Sales, Finance, Operations, and Procurement.

This role is critical to ensuring high customer fill rates (COF >95%), optimal inventory levels (DOH targets), and minimal obsolescence, while supporting Wholsum Foods rapid growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demand Planning & Forecasting

Own the monthly S&OP / IBP cycle, ensuring alignment between demand, supply, and financial plans.

Develop accurate demand forecasts across channels, SKUs, and categories, factoring in seasonality, promotions, launches, and market trends.

Track and improve forecast accuracy and bias, driving corrective actions with Sales and Marketing.

Enable demand sensing through historical data, secondary sales inputs, and market intelligence.

  • Supply & Inventory Planning

Convert demand plans into feasible supply, production, and replenishment plans across co-manufacturers and warehouses.

Ensure optimal inventory positioning to meet service level targets (COF) while maintaining DOH and ageing norms (>70% shelf life).

Proactively manage risks related to stock-outs, excess inventory, MOQs, and capacity constraints.

Drive inventory health reviews and obsolescence reduction initiatives.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration

Partner closely with Sales, Finance, Operations, NPD, and Procurement to ensure one aligned plan.

Support new SKU launches with demand estimates, ramp-up plans, and supply readiness.

Coordinate with procurement and manufacturing teams to align material availability with production plans.

Work with warehousing and logistics partners to ensure smooth execution of supply plans.

  • Process Excellence & Governance

Build and institutionalize planning SOPs, review cadences, and escalation mechanisms.

Track and report key KPIs: Forecast Accuracy, COF, DOH, Inventory Ageing, and Service Levels.

Lead RCA and CAPA for planning deviations such as OOS, excess inventory, or demand shocks.

Support implementation or optimization of ERP / planning tools and dashboards.

  • People Leadership

Manage and mentor Demand Planners / Planning Analysts, driving accountability and capability building.

Foster a data-driven, collaborative, and problem-solving culture within the planning team.

Lead cross-functional planning forums with clarity, structure, and decision ownership.

What You'll Bring

10–12 years of experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, or Integrated Business Planning, preferably in FMCG, Food Manufacturing, or D2C.

Strong understanding of S&OP / IBP, forecasting methodologies, and inventory planning.

Hands-on experience managing multi-SKU, multi-channel portfolios.

Advanced proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Zoho, Tally), and planning tools.

Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence Sales, Finance, and Operations.

High ownership mindset with comfort in ambiguity and fast-paced environments.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

NICE TO HAVE

Experience implementing or optimising ERP or demand planning systems.

Exposure to co-manufacturing and multi-plant supply networks.

Understanding of CM1 drivers, BOM structures, and inventory cost levers.

Experience working closely with founders or senior leadership.

Certification in APICS (CPIM/CSCP), Lean Six Sigma, or Supply Chain Analytics.

WHY JOIN US

You'll play a pivotal role in shaping how supply chains scale for a fast-growing, purpose-led food brand. If you enjoy bringing structure to complexity, making data-backed decisions, and driving impact at scale, this is your opportunity.

Wholsum Foods is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity in its workforce.
