WHAT WILL YOU DO AT WHOLSUM FOODS
We are looking for a
strategic and detail-oriented Sr. Manager – Demand & Supply Planning to lead end-to-end planning across channels and categories. Reporting to the
Head of Operations, this role will own forecasting accuracy, supply planning, inventory optimisation, and service levels while enabling seamless collaboration across Sales, Finance, Operations, and Procurement.
This role is critical to ensuring
high customer fill rates (COF >95%),
optimal inventory levels (DOH targets), and
minimal obsolescence, while supporting Wholsum Foods rapid growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Demand Planning & Forecasting
Own the
monthly S&OP / IBP cycle, ensuring alignment between demand, supply, and financial plans.
Develop accurate demand forecasts across
channels, SKUs, and categories, factoring in seasonality, promotions, launches, and market trends.
Track and improve
forecast accuracy and bias, driving corrective actions with Sales and Marketing.
Enable demand sensing through historical data, secondary sales inputs, and market intelligence.
- Supply & Inventory Planning
Convert demand plans into feasible
supply, production, and replenishment plans across co-manufacturers and warehouses.
Ensure optimal inventory positioning to meet
service level targets (COF) while maintaining
DOH and ageing norms (>70% shelf life).
Proactively manage risks related to stock-outs, excess inventory, MOQs, and capacity constraints.
Drive inventory health reviews and obsolescence reduction initiatives.
- Cross-functional Collaboration
Partner closely with
Sales, Finance, Operations, NPD, and Procurement to ensure one aligned plan.
Support
new SKU launches with demand estimates, ramp-up plans, and supply readiness.
Coordinate with procurement and manufacturing teams to align material availability with production plans.
Work with warehousing and logistics partners to ensure smooth execution of supply plans.
- Process Excellence & Governance
Build and institutionalize
planning SOPs, review cadences, and escalation mechanisms.
Track and report key KPIs:
Forecast Accuracy, COF, DOH, Inventory Ageing, and Service Levels.
Lead
RCA and CAPA for planning deviations such as OOS, excess inventory, or demand shocks.
Support implementation or optimization of
ERP / planning tools and dashboards.
Manage and mentor
Demand Planners / Planning Analysts, driving accountability and capability building.
Foster a data-driven, collaborative, and problem-solving culture within the planning team.
Lead cross-functional planning forums with clarity, structure, and decision ownership.
What You'll Bring
10–12 years of experience in
Demand Planning, Supply Planning, or Integrated Business Planning, preferably in
FMCG, Food Manufacturing, or D2C.
Strong understanding of
S&OP / IBP, forecasting methodologies, and inventory planning.
Hands-on experience managing
multi-SKU, multi-channel portfolios.
Advanced proficiency in
Excel / Google Sheets, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Zoho, Tally), and planning tools.
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence Sales, Finance, and Operations.
High ownership mindset with comfort in ambiguity and fast-paced environments.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
NICE TO HAVE
Experience implementing or optimising
ERP or demand planning systems.
Exposure to
co-manufacturing and multi-plant supply networks.
Understanding of
CM1 drivers, BOM structures, and inventory cost levers.
Experience working closely with
founders or senior leadership.
Certification in
APICS (CPIM/CSCP), Lean Six Sigma, or Supply Chain Analytics.
