DESCRIPTION:
Join an industry leader in scientific instrumentation as a Software Engineering Manager, where you'll lead teams developing advanced software solutions that enable breakthrough scientific discoveries. REQUIREMENTS:
. Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience, with 5+ years in technical leadership roles
. Preferred Fields of Study: Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field
. Technical certifications like SAFe, Scrum, or ISTQB a plus
. Strong expertise in Agile methodologies including Scrum and SAFe frameworks
. Experience leading distributed teams of 10-30 software professionals
. Experience delivering complex software systems using modern technology stacks (.NET, Java, Python, Cloud platforms)
. Strong leadership skills with ability to mentor, coach and develop engineering talent
. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating across teams
. Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
. Experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and automated testing frameworks
. Experience building effective teams and promoting engineering excellence
. Ability to balance strategic thinking with technical leadership
. Strong project and resource management capabilities
. Travel required up to 10-25%
. Fluency in English required additional languages a plus
. Experience in scientific/analytical instrumentation or regulated environments preferred
