Team Profile
A&M's Global Tax business has a team of highly skilled and seasoned tax professionals, experienced in providing practical tax advice to corporate and private equity clients throughout the transaction life cycle. We are now rapidly expanding across Asia and looking for bright seasoned TAX professionals for our India office.
A&M professionals come with deep operating and financial-related experience. The team uses an integrated, focused, and tailored approach to rapidly identify and understand potential deal breakers, value drivers, and other areas of specific interest to our clients. Our professionals have significant experience on both buy side and sell side transactions across multiple different industries.
The Team
We are looking to hire
a US Tax- Manager or Senior Manager level candidate in our Tax Practice. Based in India this position will help lead and support our offerings across the full spectrum of US federal tax reporting and advisory services for our alternative investment fund clients such as private equity, venture capital, real estate, and hedge.
As a Manager or Senior Tax Manager, you will utilize your prior work experience (Top Accounting firm preferred) to provide tax compliance and consulting services to various investment management clients.
Role Requirements
- Assist teams in India and overseas on effective US tax analysis, solution development, and implementation of clients tax objectives
- Perform and review tax research, review partnership work papers, tax allocations on Schedule K-1/K-3s and Form 1065 federal tax returns.
- Oversee and review other fund management entity tax filings for fund clients (CFC/PFIC tax reporting, and other US international tax forms (5471, 5472, 8858, 8865, 926, 8621, and etc.)), ensuring full compliance with regulations while maximizing tax efficiency for fund structures.
- Stay up to date on current tax laws, regulatory changes, and industry best practices, particularly in the investment fund space, to deliver strategic and informed tax advice.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's degree required, (in addition, preferably with MST or MAcc)
- US CPA or EA qualified
- Preferably at least 5 or more years of relevant US tax experience, preferably with prior Big Four accounting firm experience
- Team player who can excel in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, challenging work environment
- Good writing, analytical, communication and organizational skills
- Positive working attitude and motivation to learn
- Fluent in English – written and spoken
US Tax Associate (K-1 Preparer) at an India Global Capability Center (GCC) focuses on partnership tax compliance, accurate Schedule K-1/K-3 preparation, and cross-border team collaboration.
Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Tax Preparation: Prepare complex US partnership tax returns (Form 1065) and associated Schedule K-1/K-3s for diverse private fund clients.
- Data Reconciliation: Review trial balances, book-to-tax adjustments, and partner capital accounts.
- Compliance & Research: Ensure accurate US federal and state tax allocation of income, deductions, and credits to partners in compliance with IRS regulations.
- Software Utilization: Use tax preparation software like OneSource US
- Collaboration: Coordinate with onshore managers, reviewers, and client teams based in the US to clear review notes and meet filing deadlines.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or IRS Enrolled Agent/ US CPA (qualified or semi qualified)
- Experience: 1–3 years of hands-on experience in US partnership compliance (Form 1065 and K-1/K-3 generation).
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of US taxation principles
- Soft Skills: Good written and verbal English communication skills
