Job Description

Purpose of the Role

The Implementation Manager is responsible for ensuring the successful onboarding, implementation, and go-live of the Jewellery Operating System (JOS) across jewellery retail businesses. The role acts as a bridge between the client, implementation teams, product teams, and support teams to ensure smooth adoption of the platform.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Project Ownership
  • Own the end-to-end implementation lifecycle from project kickoff to go-live.
  • Define implementation timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Ensure projects are completed within agreed timelines and scope.
  • Business Process Understanding
  • Understand the client's jewellery business operations, including:
    • Procurement & Purchase
    • Inventory Management
    • Tagging & Barcode Management
    • Stone Management
    • Sales & Billing
    • Repair Orders
    • Gold Exchange & Old Gold Purchase
    • Customer Orders
    • Accounting & Reporting
  • Ensure the system is configured to align with client workflows.
  • Case Study & Requirement Management
  • Review and validate Case Study documents.
  • Conduct requirement gathering sessions with stakeholders.
  • Ensure business requirements are translated into system configurations and SRS documents.
  • Obtain client approvals and sign-offs.
  • Data Migration Management
  • Plan and monitor master data migration activities.
  • Oversee migration of:
    • Articles & Designs
    • Inventory Data
    • Stone Details
    • Customer Data
    • Vendor Data
    • Opening Balances
  • Ensure data validation and reconciliation before go-live.
  • Team Leadership & Coordination
  • Manage and coordinate:
    • Case Study Team
    • Setup & Configuration Team
    • Data Migration Team
    • Implementation Consultants
    • Support Team
  • Track progress and ensure accountability across teams.
  • Configuration & System Readiness
  • Ensure configuration of:
    • Branches & Locations
    • Product Categories & Subcategories
    • Purity & Metal Settings
    • Pricing & Rate Configuration
    • User Roles & Permissions
    • Barcode & Label Settings
    • Tax & Compliance Settings
  • Validate readiness before UAT and go-live.
  • Client Communication & Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as the primary implementation contact for clients.
  • Conduct project reviews and status meetings.
  • Provide regular implementation updates to clients and management.
  • User Training & Adoption
  • Plan and oversee user training programs.
  • Ensure operational teams understand system workflows.
  • Drive user adoption and change management initiatives.
  • Go-Live & Hypercare Support
  • Lead go-live planning and execution.
  • Ensure all pre-go-live checklists are completed.
  • Monitor stabilization activities during the hypercare period.
  • Coordinate issue resolution with support and product teams.
  • Risk & Escalation Management
  • Identify implementation risks and project bottlenecks.
  • Escalate critical issues proactively.
  • Develop mitigation plans to avoid delays and disruptions.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting
  • Track project health and implementation KPIs.
  • Maintain implementation dashboards and reports.
  • Present project status to Service Head and leadership teams.
