Your Roles and Responsibilities
We are looking for an ambitious and self-driven Strategic Communications Manager to join our team! This position is for an in-house secondment, reporting to the Director of Asia Communications and Global Special Projects at an organisation that is leading an alliance to enable the clean energy transition in India.
The Strategic Communications Manager is a key role and requires the employee to be a link between the client and ON PURPOSE's communications team on the account. It involves managing public relations including media relations, social media, stakeholder and partner communications in India. The role will involve coordination with stakeholders globally, including the US, UK, Southeast Asia and multiple countries in Africa, so we expect you to be flexible with work timings during weekdays..

- Managing internal stakeholders at the client location in India and overseas
- Coordinating with the agency managing public relations, social media, program and partner communications
- Designing and implementing stakeholder engagement strategies to enable meaningful dialogue on the clean energy transition in India
- Researching and presenting analysis of ecosystem insights on carbon reduction, energy access and green jobs in India
- Working with the Director of Asia Communications and Global Special Projects to lead stakeholder engagement
- Writing, editing and proof-reading documents for CEO presentations and internal reporting
- Coordinating media interviews with the agency for the CEO and other Board members
- Managing partnerships for events, hackathons and annual properties
- Holding agency team accountable for excellence in delivery
- Oversee quality control throughout the daily operations and the work of executives
- Maintain relationships with partners and vendors
Your qualifications will be as follows:
- 8+ years in the communications industry either as a journalist or in PR agencies
- 5+ years of experience in the energy sector
- A Master's degree in a relevant field (desirable not essential)
- In-depth knowledge of different PR skills as outlined in responsibilities
- Hands on experience in client and team management
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders at any given time
- Good knowledge of how to use analytics and metrics for goal setting and measurement
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
- Great communication and presentation skills
- Problem-solving mindset
