Job Description

Position Overview:

The Manager / Senior Manager – GIFT City & PMS Onboarding will play a key operational role in managing

onboarding, documentation, regulatory compliance, and client servicing for GIFT City and PMS (Portfolio

Management Services) clients. The role focuses on accurate execution, strong adherence to processes,

coordination with internal teams, and improving operational efficiency through digital initiatives. This

position is suited for candidates with hands-on experience in onboarding, KYC/AML, documentation, and

operational servicing within Wealth Management, PMS, AIF, or Fund Administration environments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Onboarding and Documentation:

• Manage end-to-end onboarding for PMS and GIFT City clients, ensuring complete and compliant documentation

• Conduct KYC and AML checks, verify investor eligibility, and ensure adherence to regulatory and internal policies

• Ensure accurate processing of client onboarding documentation within defined turnaround times

2. GIFT City Operational Support:

• Support operational activities related to GIFT IFSC entities including documentation management, data updates, and coordination with Custody, CAMS, and Fund Accounting teams

• Maintain and update onboarding checklists in line with evolving regulatory and operational requirements

3. Client Servicing and Issue Resolution:

• Act as the primary point of contact for servicing requests related to PMS or GIFT City accounts

• Track and resolve client issues by coordinating with internal teams such as Operations, Custody, Compliance, and Finance

• Maintain dashboards and trackers for onboarding status, pending cases, and servicing escalations

• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

4. Compliance and Process Governance:

• Ensure all activities comply with internal controls, audit standards, and regulatory requirements

• Work closely with the Compliance team to implement changes arising from regulatory updates or internal policy changes

• Support audit reviews, documentation checks, and process validation activities

5. Digital Enablement and Process Improvement:

• Support improvements in digital onboarding processes including e-forms, eKYC, VCIP, and automated verification checks

• Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT), requirement gathering, and implementation of digital workflow enhancements

• Identify operational gaps and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce manual effort

Required Skills and Competencies:

Technical and Domain Skills:

• Good understanding of PMS onboarding processes, account opening documentation, and operational workflows

• Familiarity with KYC and AML guidelines and investor eligibility requirements

• Working knowledge of GIFT City or IFSC operations is preferred Behavioral Competencies:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• High attention to detail with strong documentation discipline

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Tools and Systems:

• Proficiency in MS Excel and MIS reporting tools

• Experience working with digital onboarding platforms, workflow management systems, and

compliance tools

Qualification and Experience:

• Graduate or Postgraduate in Finance, Commerce, Business Management, or related fields• 4–7 years of experience in PMS, AIF, Wealth Management Operations, or similar domains

• Hands-on experience in client onboarding, KYC/AML processes, and regulatory operations.
