Leadership & Team Development - Provide strategic direction, mentorship, and performance management to a team of Category Managers. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. Identify skill gaps and lead initiatives to enhance process knowledge, market understanding, and sourcing capabilities
Category Strategy & Execution - Oversee development and execution of global commodity strategies aligned with business objectives. Ensure teams maintain deep understanding of cost structures, market dynamics, and supplier landscapes. Translate changing business requirements into actionable sourcing strategies, including new product development and supplier capability enhancement
Supplier Relationship Management -Manage intercompany and third-party supplier relationships, including negotiations, contract management, and performance evaluations. Promote supplier innovation and strategic partnerships to enhance competitiveness. Facilitate quarterly Supplier Business Reviews and ensure closure of action items.
Risk Management & Cost Optimization - Support identification and mitigation of supply risks, optimize total cost of ownership, and drive value creation. Drive cost containment and reduction initiatives through alternate sourcing, design improvements, part standardization, and supplier consolidation. Conduct value analysis to reduce total logistics cost and enhance supply chain efficiency.
Operational Excellence - Analyze project funnels and select appropriate stocking models monitor and manage supplier inventory levels. Ensure 90% On-Time Delivery (OTD) and Late Backlog (LBL) 5% through proactive engagement and issue resolution. Maintain supplier tooling and pattern data in global supply chain database.
Supplier Development & Compliance - Guide the team in identifying, evaluating, and developing new suppliers to meet evolving business needs. Oversee supplier qualification processes ensuring compliance with quality, cost, and delivery standards. Champion Lean culture across suppliers by leading change initiatives and facilitating Lean events
Cross-Functional Collaboration - Act as key liaison between category management, procurement, engineering, operations, and quality teams. Facilitate effective communication and alignment to support product development, cost reduction, and supply continuity.
Performance Monitoring - Establish and monitor suppliers through structured performance management processes. Monitor key performance indicators and implement corrective actions as needed. Benchmark and share best practices across suppliers and internal sites.
Bachelor's degree in engineering with 15+ years of experience in Engineering or Manufacturing fields
