Company Overview

A leading greenfield manufacturing company is setting up a large-scale facility for forging train wheels for the Indian government.

This is a unique opportunity for candidates who want to be part of a large-scale industrial project from the ground level and build maintenance systems for a future-ready plant.

Role:

Manager / Senior Manager / AGM – Maintenance

Experience Required:

12 to 15 years

Key Requirement:

Strong experience in hydraulic press maintenance is mandatory.

Candidates with exposure to Schuler press systems, wheel roller lines, hydraulic circuits, servo valves, proportional valves, and press automation systems will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead maintenance of high-tonnage Schuler hydraulic presses, wheel roller systems, and hydraulic circuits
  • Diagnose and rectify issues in pumps, valves, servo controls, accumulators, heat exchangers, and hydraulic blocks
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic circuits, pressure control logic, PLC controls, and sensor systems
  • Ensure proper functioning of Dynamic Force Control, Ring Valve Technology, Hydraulic Bed Cushions, and EHF systems
  • Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules as per OEM standards
  • Monitor oil quality, filters, seals, temperature regulation, and hydraulic system health
  • Implement condition-based monitoring and hydraulic oil diagnostics
  • Drive uptime improvement, energy efficiency, root cause analysis, and process optimization
  • Coordinate with OEM service teams for retrofits, automation synchronization, and technology upgrades
  • Lead shutdown maintenance, overhauls, commissioning, and system retrofits
  • Ensure availability of critical spares, consumables, and vendor support
  • Maintain hydraulic schematics, PM checklists, RCA reports, and maintenance logs
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, LOTO procedures, and hydraulic safety standards
  • Lead and mentor maintenance engineers and technicians on troubleshooting and hydraulic systems

Required Technical Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of industrial hydraulics, servo valves, proportional valves, and PLC-based hydraulic controls
  • Ability to read hydraulic schematics and circuit drawings
  • Experience with Schuler, Andritz, SMS Meer, or Danieli hydraulic systems
  • Knowledge of EtherCAT, Profinet, and IEC 61131-3 based controls
  • Expertise in dynamic force control, energy-efficient hydraulics, and modular hydraulic blocks

Qualification & Experience

  • Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering
  • 12 to 15+ years of experience in maintenance of hydraulic presses, forming lines, or heavy industrial equipment
  • Prior exposure to Schuler press lines and automation systems will be a strong advantage

Working Hours

Currently single shift: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM 6 days a week
