Manager / Senior Executive, Business Risk & Processes

Wealth Management Corporate Office

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to support the strategic management of business risks and process optimisation initiatives within Wealth Management Singapore (WM SG). This role partners closely with the respective Wealth Management segment heads and key stakeholders to identify, assess, and mitigate business risks while enhancing operational efficiency, scalability, and client experience.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in strengthening risk governance, driving process improvements, supporting regulatory compliance, and ensuring business continuity across the Wealth Management business.

Key Responsibilities

Risk Management & Governance

  • Partner with Compliance, Risk Management and Business Governance teams to develop, implement and maintain risk management frameworks that support the Wealth Management business.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements, internal policies, risk controls and governance standards.
  • Assess, monitor and manage risks across key Wealth Management processes, including client onboarding, portfolio management, reporting and client servicing activities.
  • Develop and monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) to measure the effectiveness of risk mitigation initiatives and control frameworks.
  • Lead and coordinate internal risk assessments, reviews and audits to identify risks, control gaps and areas for improvement.
  • Provide regular reporting and updates to senior management on key risk incidents, emerging risks and mitigation plans.

Process Excellence & Transformation

  • Review, design and continuously enhance business processes across Wealth Management to improve operational efficiency, scalability and service delivery.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including process maps, standard operating procedures and control frameworks.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis to identify process bottlenecks, operational inefficiencies and opportunities for automation or optimisation.
  • Partner with stakeholders to implement control enhancements and process improvements while maintaining a strong client-centric focus.
  • Support digitalisation, automation and system enhancement initiatives to streamline operations and strengthen risk controls.

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration

  • Work closely with Relationship Managers and client-facing teams to ensure that risk management and control measures support, rather than hinder, the client experience.
  • Collaborate with Compliance, Legal, Risk, Operations, Investment, IT and other support functions to drive a coordinated approach to risk management and process improvement.
  • Represent Wealth Management in system enhancement and transformation projects, working with IT teams to assess, develop and implement solutions that improve operational efficiency and mitigate risk.
  • Engage Wealth Management segment teams to align risk and process improvement initiatives with the overall strategic objectives of the WM SG business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, Risk Management, Information Systems or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in banking, financial services, risk management or operational excellence.
  • Strong understanding of business and operational risk management within a banking or financial services environment.
  • Experience in process review and optimisation, including process mapping, root cause analysis, control enhancement and workflow redesign.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements applicable to the banking and wealth management industry.
  • Experience in digitalisation, automation, system implementation or business transformation projects would be an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple functions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.

We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
