Job Title: Manager, Scrum Master

Department Overview:

McDonald's is scaling its global data platform to deliver real-time, actionable insights that enhance operations and elevate the customer experience. Through Enterprise Data, Analytics, and AI (EDAA),

we're enabling a smarter, more connected ecosystem—driven by cloud technology, automation, and intelligent data engineering.

The Opportunity:

We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master to guide our Agile teams, ensure effective Scrum practices, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Duties:

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams, ensuring proper implementation of Scrum principles and practices.
• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Review, and Retrospective.
• Coach the team on Agile principles and promote self-organization.
• Identify and remove impediments or blockers that hinder the team's progress.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to maintain a well-groomed backlog and clear user stories.
• Track team performance using metrics (e.g., velocity, burn-down/up charts) and help identify improvement opportunities.
• Support cross-team collaboration and coordination with stakeholders.
• Advocate for best practices in Agile project management and process efficiency.

Experience:

• 7-11 Years.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification preferred.
• 7+ years of experience as a Scrum master's in software development or technology teams.
• Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban).
• Excellent facilitation, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven experience in removing team blockers and fostering high-performing teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with project management and collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, Trello, etc.).

Preferred:

• Experience with team building and daily administrative coordination.
• Experience with distributed or remote Agile teams.
• Experience in software development, DevOps, or product management environments.
• Knowledge of metrics-driven team performance analysis.
• Experience scaling Agile practices across multiple teams or departments.
• Experience working on Machine Learning or AI-related products or teams.
• Experience in Handling the PI Planning.
