Job Summary

We are looking for a Manager – Reporting & Accounts Payable to join the Finance team. This is an individual contributor role with 80% focus on financial reporting, MIS and controllership activities and 20% focus on Accounts Payable operations.

The role will work closely with the Associate Director & business stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely and insightful financial reporting, strong month-end closure, and effective AP processes. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working independently, managing multiple stakeholders and driving improvements in finance processes.

Responsibilities And Duties

  • Financial Reporting & MIS – 80%
  • Own the monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting process.
  • Prepare and review management MIS, financial dashboards and business performance reports.
  • Prepare P&L, balance sheet and cash-flow analysis, including key movements and variances.
  • Perform month-end closing activities, ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial records.
  • Prepare actual vs. budget/forecast variance analysis and provide meaningful commentary.
  • Develop and maintain monthly reporting packs for management and leadership review.
  • Partner with inter and intra teams to understand financial movements and provide actionable insights.
  • Perform P&L, Balance Sheet reviews, intercompany/ other adjustments and account reconciliations (including bank and credit cards), further identifying and resolving unusual or aged balances.
  • Support preparation of forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning.
  • Ensure reporting is aligned with applicable accounting standards, company policies and internal controls.
  • Drive standardisation and automation of recurring reports and finance processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting accuracy, efficiency, and turnaround time.
  • Support US and IN audits by providing details/ schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
  • Accounts Payable – 20%
  • Oversee the end-to-end Accounts Payable process, including invoice booking, vendor reconciliation and timely & accurate payment processing.
  • Review AP ageing and ensure timely resolution of outstanding items.
  • Ensure appropriate invoice validation, approvals, accounting, and documentation.
  • Ensure timely processing of employee reimbursements, prepaids, accruals, and other AP-related accounting, as applicable.
  • Monitor AP controls and ensure compliance with defined finance policies.
  • Support monthly AP closing and reporting requirements.
  • Knowledge of IN tax laws and compliances including TDS, GST , Advance tax etc.
  • Help improve working capital, operational efficiency, and the overall O2C cycle.
  • Drive system automation and implement better controls.

Expected Competencies And Skills

  • Strong technical and analytical understanding of financial accounting and reporting.
  • Excellent Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, LOOKUPS and financial modelling.
  • Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite experience would be an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and reconciliations.
  • Experience with MIS and management dashboards.
  • Understanding of budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Good understanding of internal controls and audit requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Finance; CA or CMA preferred
  • 7–10 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, MIS, and accounting.
  • Strong experience in month-end closing and management reporting.
  • Prior experience handling AP/accounting operations is preferred.
  • Experience in a high-growth, technology, services or multi-entity environment would be advantageous.
