Job title: Manager, Regulatory Compliance Artificial Intelligence and Analytics
In This Role, You Will
- The role holder will support the Regulatory Conduct AI & Analytics in the Trade Surveillance domain through:
- Validation and analysis of Market Monitoring models through advanced analytical skills and emerging technology
- Develop proactive and pragmatic solutions to continually improve processes/approaches/solutions existing within the processes.
- Help the business to manage regulatory risk in a more effective, efficient, and commercial way through the adoption of data science (AI/ML and advanced analytics)
- Support communication and engagement with stakeholders and partners to increase understanding and adoption of data science products and services also research opportunities.
- The ability to communicate often complex analytical solutions to the wider department, ensuring a strong transfer of key findings & intelligence.
- Reporting to Head of Trade Surveillance in RC AI & Analytics Regulatory Compliance or a senior delegate
- Partner with relevant stakeholders within IT, Product management to deliver innovative analytical solutions to meet business demand.
- Work with control functions, Audit, and Independent Model Review (IMR) to ensure the effective operation of the control framework including sharing best practice and thematic read across
- The role holder is responsible for the identification of Compliance related models as classified by the Group Model Risk standards and ensuring that these are developed and managed in accordance with these standards.
- The role holder should also implement and oversee appropriate controls and governance to any analytical products or services that are classified as non-models.
To Be Successful You Will
- University degree in technology, data analytics or related discipline or relevant work experience in computer or Data Science
- Understanding of Regulatory Compliance, risks and direct experience of deployment of controls and analytics to manage those risks.
- Experience in Financial Services (experience within a tier one bank) or related industry
- Knowledge of the HSBC Group structure, its business and personnel, and HSBC's corporate culture.
- Fair understanding of applied mathematics, statistics, data science principles and advanced computing (machine learning, modelling, NLP and Generative AI)
- Strong technical skills in analytical languages such as Python. Specific knowledge of GCP, AWS, Azure, Spark and/or graph theory an advantage.
- Medium level understanding of data & architecture concepts including cloud, ETL, Ontology, Data Modelling.
- Experience of using GIT, PowerPoint and Advanced Excel
