We are looking for a Manager - Finance & Accounting (Upstream Oil & Gas Accounting) to join the Outsourced Finance & Accounting team at a leading global consulting firm.
About the Role
This role focuses on managing end-to-end accounting and financial reporting for upstream oil & gas clients. You will lead delivery teams, ensure high-quality financial outputs, and act as a key advisor in managing client expectations and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end accounting service delivery for multiple clients
- Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Manage client engagement operations including staffing, billing, and profitability tracking
- Translate client requirements into actionable team deliverables
- Coach, mentor, and develop accounting teams
- Oversee upstream oil & gas accounting processes including JIB, AFE, cost allocation, revenue accounting, and JV reporting
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and reporting standards
- Drive process efficiency, accuracy, and minimal rework across deliverables
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (CA / CPA / MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles
- Hands-on experience in upstream oil & gas accounting (JIB, AFE, revenue distribution, cost accounting, etc.)
- Exposure to tools like Quickbook, Bill.com, Sage
- Strong Excel and MS Office skills
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership abilities
